Do Nexby tools upload my files or text to a server?
No. The image compressor decodes and re-encodes your photo with the canvas API inside your browser, and the word counter, text cleaner and calculators are plain JavaScript on the page. There is no upload request, which is also why results appear instantly even on a slow connection.
Are the tools really free?
Yes, free with no account, no watermark and no daily limit. Nexby is funded by a small number of display ads, so nothing you create is blocked or labelled.
Can I use it on a phone?
Every tool is responsive and works on mobile browsers, including pasting text and picking photos from your gallery. Nothing needs to be installed.
Which is better for compressing photos, quality or target size?
Use target size when a portal demands a limit, for example "under 200 KB" on an application form — Nexby searches the quality level for you. Use the quality slider when you want the best possible picture for email or a website.
Is my information used for advertising?
No. Because the work happens in your browser, there is no file, text or date for us to log and nothing to sell. Advertisers see only which page you are on, the same as on any other website, and the privacy policy lists the few technical logs the host keeps.
